HOUSE HISTORY

In the 1970’s 79 houses on London’s North circular road were compulsorily purchased for a road-widening plan that never happened. For 35 years the houses have been neglected, vandalised, burnt out and partially demolished; exposing the remnants of past private lives to millions as they drive by.

I have found abandoned decaying spaces potent because they suggest something that once was and I am drawn to complete the story.
